Deeply-cut, glossy green, thistle-like leaves give rise to pure white, snapdragon-like flowers that are enclosed by lavender-purple bracts. The spiny foliage forms arching mounds in the garden. Easily grown in average, medium, well-drained soil in full sun to part-shade.
