Deep purple flowers bloom in spring atop evergreen mats of deep green rounded leaves. Plants grow best in well-drained soils. Plants will benefit from a light shearing after flowering to encourage a thick mound of foliage. A compact grower that is ideal for the rock garden or to cascade over a wall.
