CALLICARPA americana

This loose open shrub is prized for its spectacular bright purple fruits that develop in whorls along the stem creating a beautiful effect in the garden. The fruits form from rather insignificant pink flowers that bloom in summer. Plants prefer a moist soil and will fruit most abundantly when planted in full sun. Minimal care is required once established.
