Large tropical plants are great for large containers or water gardens. Strong, dark maroon, upright stems hold green leaves which cup allowing them to hold water. As the leaf fills with water the stem gives enough to dump the water and start the catching process yet again. Harmful to humans and animals if ingested raw.
