A distinctive and tall switch grass with wider, powder-blue foliage that really makes a statement in the landscape. The large and showy purple seed heads form cloud-like drifts and appear at the top of the foliage in fall. The seed heads persist well into winter. Plants typically remain upright, but may flop if grown in too fertile of soil. Cut plants back in early spring.
