Grass-PANICUM v. Prairie Fire PP19367

This wonderful switch grass features blue-green foliage that turns to shades of deep burgundy by early summer, hence the name Prairie Fire. The foliage transitions to red earlier in the season than other red switch grasses. Plants are drought tolerant once established. In late summer, delicate seed heads add lovely texture to the garden. The seed heads are nice for cutting and use in flower arrangements. Plants grow best in full sun and well-drained soil.

Not available for the 2024 season.
