Blue Heaven is an improvement of the straight species, having a taller and more upright habit. Lovely steel blue foliage has purple highlights. Glossy purple panicles with attached fluffy tan seeds appear in late summer and continue through fall. With the onset of cooler fall temperatures the foliage changes color and ranges from purple to pink, burgundy, and orange! A wonderfully colorful plant for the perennial border!
