Lovely, glossy green leaves have a mushroom like aroma and flavor which intensifies when cooking in soups and stews. Regular harvest is required to encourage new leafy growth. The leaves can be eaten raw in tossed salad, tucked into a sandwich, or used as a garnish. Plants grow best in well-drained soil in warm areas with partial sun.
