OENOTHERA macrocarpa (missouriensis)

Dark green, strap-like leaves provide the background for huge, 4", lemon-yellow flowers in early to mid-summer. The decorative seed pods that follow are often used in dried flower arrangements. An excellent choice for rock gardens and pathways, these plants are very drought tolerant.
