Single red flowers often emerge as fuzzy buds in early spring when snow still remains on the ground! The flowers emerge first, followed shortly by the foliage. The flowers mature into soft and feathery seed heads which add interest well after the blooms are gone. Plants are best suited toward the front of the border. Good drainage is a must for optimal growth.
