Double Play® Red is the first and currently only spirea with true red flowers! The deep crimson-red blooms appear in late spring to early summer atop foliage that emerges dark burgundy and ages to green. The flowers bloom on old wood so any pruning should be done immediately after flowering. Attracts bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds. Plants easily grow in moist, well-drained soil conditions and sun to part shade.
