VIOLA tricolor

An abundance of yellow and purple bicolor flowers bloom in spring and early summer atop lightly scalloped lanceolate leaves. Lovely in containers as well as the garden's edge. Viola tricolor will thrive best in rich, moist, well-drained soil. Plants readily self-seed.
