This dwarf variety sports rosy-pink flower plumes that bloom midsummer atop thick dark green leaves. Pumila is one of the more quickly spreading cultivars of the chinensis-type Astilbe. The flowers can be used in fresh cut arrangements. Plants require a moist environment for best performance.
