Grass-SPOROBOLUS heterolepis Grass-SPOROBOLUS heterolepis

Prairie Dropseed is a native prairie grass with narrow, medium green, fine textured foliage that forms tufted clumps. Beautiful, airy, pinkish-tan, cloud-like flowers bloom in late summer and are held well above the foliage. One of the most striking features of this native beauty is the vibrant orange-red fall color! Easy to grow in average, dry to medium, well-drained soil. Plants also tolerate heavy clay and are drought tolerant.

Not available for the 2024 season.
