MONARDA Leading Lady Plum PP26447

Magenta-purple blooms with blackish-purple bracts bloom atop neat and tidy plants that are densely branched. The flower petals also sport small dark purple spots. Leading Lady Plum blooms earlier than other bee balm, often starting in early summer and continuing until midsummer. After the first flush of flowers is finished blooming a second flush of blooms appears above the initial flowers lengthening the bloom time. Plants perform best in full sun and moist soil and are a favorite of hummingbirds and butterflies.
