Dark purple, almost black, leaves are turned down similar to Genovese basil. The leaves are large and thick and provide a contrast to other plants when used in container gardens. A wonderful culinary selection to use as a seasoning for pasta, pizza, salads and for a garnish. Plants require moist, well-drained soil.
