A tough and easy to grow shrub! Intense dark burgundy-black foliage is prominent in the spring and fall. Clusters of bright yellow trumpet-shaped flowers appear in early summer on new wood and contrast nicely against the dark foliage. Native to North America, Diervilla is easy to grow in sun or shade though best foliage color is achieved in sun to part-shade. Attracts butterflies and hummingbirds. Deer resistant.
